BOWS Makes recommendations to all departments of the Church regarding the mission plans of the church, including: social action, benevolent projects, and the ideals of Christian stewardship locally, nationally and worldwide. CCCF is a church dedicated to spreading the Word of God throughout the world. Food Drive- BOWS has pledged an ongoing campaign to help feed those in need. A special thanks to the volunteers who came out to the Los Angeles Food Bank. A special thanks to our member, Lola Lovett, for allowing us to place a food bin in the Starbucks she manages. Her customers were generous with their donations and filled-up the bin. We will continue to support the Food Bank with a monthly themed food drive. For the month of August, we are asking for donations of RICE & BEANS, for September, CEREAL and JUCIE BOXES October, CAN FRUITS AND VEGETABLES. For November and December, CAN/BOXED STUFFING, SWEET POTATOES, GREEN BEANS and CRANBERRY SAUCE. Thanks for your support in feeding those in need.
Back to School Drive BOWS has adopted Dr. Owen Knox’s Elementary School, for our “Back to School Drive”. School principle, Karen Ward, is very excited about BOWS supporting her school. The school is located on 88th and Main and the students are in need of back packs, uniforms, and school supplies. Our “Back to School” campaign will start now and run thru mid-October, all donations are appreciated. We are planning a presentation from the Kids to the Church on Sunday, October 21st
CCCF Community Health Fair
In support of the Health Ministry, BOWS will lend support to Dr. Joyce Biddle-Holt and her Sorority, Chi Eta Phi, for our Church community health fair on Saturday, November 10th. We will provide preventative care with health screening, flu shots and much more. Click Here to return to top of page.
Past 2012 Activities:
Community Health Fair was held on Saturday, August 18th- We joined forces with Mu Chi Chapter, Chi Eta Phi Nursing Sorority, with our very own, Dr. Joyce Biddle-Holt and Chapter President, Martha Young-Jones, Women’s Council of CBR, BOWS and Church members. A special thanks to the healthcare professionals that supported the event and the gifts and information they shared. With our hearts in the right place, helping our community, and thru the Grace of GOD, the event was a success.
